Lunch
Currywurst stand next to the Koeln Hauptbahnhof...our lunch spot and Devin
trying to get out of a photo. No such luck.
Bitburg-Erdorf Train Station
Beautiful old train depot in Erdorf, where we caught the Regionalbahn train
to Cologne.
Bitburg Brewery
Original brewery building in central Bitburg. Not the one where Devin
worked, which is much larger and on the outskirts.
The Downfalls of Living in Bitburg
If you live in Bitburg you get the benefit of having a brewery in town,
random presidential visits that cause controversies, and a chance of getting
an unfortunate license plate (they all start with BIT).
We Kehr for You!
I love this little street sweeper seen in Bitburg. For those of you who
don't speak German "kehren" means to sweep. So this is a double language
play on words. In English it sounds like "We care for you" but when you mix
the languages it means "We sweep for you"!

Bitburger Beer Erlebnis Welt Bar
A beautiful bar where Bitburger serves their beers after the tour. That
man's ghostly image is one of their logos from days when it was known as
Simonbräu.
Pretzel and a Beer
We visited the Bitburger beer brewery today. Many of you might not know
that I worked there for a summer. Don't be too jealous...all I did was pack
beers into cases so it wasn't exactly rocket science. You don't get a
factory tour anymore but rather a visit to the Bitburger World Experience
and you get to watch a lot of videos about how great the beer is. At the
end, they serve you two beers and give you coupons for three more at bars in
town, including the one we're staying at. Score!
Sunflowers for Sale
Sunflowers for sale (you pick yourself) on the side if the road just on the
edge of Bitburg.

Toronto Space Needle?
I'll find out what this is called later but for now will call it the Toronto
Space Needle. I tried to look around downtown Toronto but it was raining
and I didn't have an umbrella with me. This is the only recognizable
landmark I saw other than rolling landmarks.
Toronto
I tried to grab an earlier flight from Toronto to Frankfurt but that didn't work out. Instead I took a "quick trip"into downtown Toronto. The airport isn't really near downtown and it began pouring rain so I didn't get to see a lot (my umbrella is in my luggage). I won't bore you all with transit pictures because that's all there was besides skyscrapers.
Somewhere Over the Midwest
The sheer number of fields is really amazing. I need to Wikipedia and find
out why the fields are in circles.
On to Toronto
On Air Canada flight 780 to Toronto. A319. I'm glad they have free
in-flight entertainment.
