Germany Blog: End of Day 1

Wow it was a difficult day today. I barely slept on the airplane and I arrived at 5:00 so I basically had to stay up for over 34 hours or so until I could sleep. That was very hard to do.

Frankfurt is beautiful. It has all of the old churches and castles and bridges, but you add in some modern architecture and you've got a typical German city.

Ok. Once all of the people in my room here get settled, I'm going to try to get some sleep tonight. I have earplugs and I think I'll need them. There are some younger people in the hallways slamming doors and screaming. Maybe I'm getting too old for hostels, or maybe I need to have my own space that's not invaded by teenagers.

No sleep??!! I thought this was supposed to be a vacation and, besides, you shared a room with your brother for years, you should be used to the noise. :-)
Love the pics. Looks like the weather isn't too bad. Why not get someone to take a picture of *you* at these places?
love and have fun.
